"We wanted to thank you so very much for the trip of a lifetime...18 wonderful days in China! Although we had friends who were in China last year, we really didn't know what to expect until we got there.... Bob and I especially liked the impromptu visit to the little Xi'an village that Bin arranged for us to see before our flight to Beijing. Because of your great planned itinerary, we were able to see Shanghai, the countryside, nine days on the Victoria Princess boat up the Yangtze River (with side trips to mountains, cities and the beautiful Lessor Three Gorges on a sampan), Xi'an and its Terra Cotta Soldiers and beautiful city wall and Beijing with all its wonderful attractions, especially the Great Wall. We enjoyed staying in gorgeous five-star hotels, tasting many Chinese meals from different regions and experiencing such entertainment as the acrobatic and opera/dance shows. We had many fun and different places to shop, and traveled in modern, air-conditioned buses. In other words, our tour was first class! "I would like to say how much I enjoyed my recent trip to China with PacGate. EVERYTHING was planned and taken care of in a most professional manner. I have taken several cruises with one of the major tour and cruise companies - the PacGate tour was the best of them. On Holland American, each day a list of land tours was passed out and passengers could decide which (if any) they desired. Each one was from $35-$40 to $l50-$200 each and at the end of the cruise a bill was presented with all the tours on it. With PacGate EVERYTHING was included in our original tour price. PacGate tour was less expensive than any other trip/cruise I have taken.... The guides were able to answer any questions we could ask. On a personal note - we had two different passengers experiencing medical problems during the trip (neither connected with the tour) and both times tour representatives stayed with the passengers as they went to hospitals for treatment (Dr. Lee, the ship doctor, accompanied at least one passenger to the hospital). Both recovered by trip's end. I would not hesitate to recommend PacGate to others, or to take another trip with PacGate myself.

Every day was filled with exploring the different areas we traveled to escorted by local, English-speaking guides. Ten days cruising up the Yangtze River over 1,300 miles was very educational, exciting, and memorable. Every detail of our travels aboard the riverboat and on shore at Shanghai, Xian, and Beijing were tended to expertly and professionally, both the expected and unexpected. The 5-star hotels and our luxury tour coaches were comfortable and as nice as any in the U.S. The food—well, it was different—a little bit of a challenge at times, but an important part of a foreign experience!
