At PacGate Tours, we have carefully formulated the tours that we offer to ensure your maximum enjoyment. We're sure that you will be able to find the tour that is just right for you. Tour Guidelines:
For all tours, please add extra for departures from the following cities:
Zone 1: $60.00 (San Francisco).
Zone 2: $100.00 (Las Vegas, Phoenix, Seattle, Portland, San Diego, Tucson, Reno).
Zone 3: $300.00 (Any city other than those listed under Zone 1 and Zone 2 in the 48 Continental United States, with some exceptions). Rates may be higher in some other departure cities.
Tour Fare Does Include:
1. Round trip economy airfares (except passengers purchasing land portion only).
2. China domestic train/air transportation.
3. Four to five star hotels as listed on the itinerary.
4. Fine meals as listed on the itinerary (IM: Inflight meals, AB: Full American Breakfast, L: Lunch, D: Dinner, DS: Dinner Show).
5. Round trip transportation in each city.
6. Sightseeing tours with English speaking national or local guides.
7. Admission and entrance fees to attractions listed on the itinerary.
Tour Fare Does Not Include:
1. Travel insurance.
2. China visa fees (approximately $50.00 per person).
3. Airport departure taxes (domestic flights in China: $7.00 per flight, international flight: $14.00).
4. Ticket tax (Los Angeles ticket tax is $55.00 per person, ticket tax in other cities may vary).
5. Gratuities to guides, bus drivers, hotel bell desks and travel agency baggage porters, (Approximately $5.00 per day per passenger).
6. All items of a personal nature.
7. Any items not specified as included.
Deposit and Full Payment:
Deposit: $200.00 per person due at the time of booking.
Full payment: Due 60 days prior to departure.
If a reservation request is made within 60 days prior to the departure date, payment must be made in full upon confirmation of the reservation.
Cancellation Fees:
Up to 60 days prior to departure: $200.00 per person.
60-30 days prior to departure: 30% of the total price per person.
29 days to 48 hours prior to departure: 50% of the total price per person.
Within 48 hours prior to departure: 100% of the total price per person.
Any unused portion of the tour price and/or airfare after departure: no refund.
Each change 60 days prior to departure is subject to a fee of $25.00.
No substitutions will be accepted within 60 days of departure.
China Visa Fees:
U.S. Passports with a seven month validity must be sent to our office 45 days prior to the departure date with a completed and signed Visa Application Form and two passport-size color photos, including a non-refundable payment of $50.00 in the form of a check. If payment is not received within 45 days, express service will be required, and an additional $30.00 per person will apply. For group visas, a photocopy of each passenger’s passport must be received by PacGate Tours at least 60 days prior to departure.
Tour Escorts:
All tour fares require a minimum of two passengers. Departures are guaranteed upon confirmation.
For tour groups with 10 or more passengers signing up together, discounts may be available upon request, and you will be escorted by English speaking national guides throughout China, at no additional charge. For tour groups with less than 10 passengers, you will be treated as a private tour and escorted by English speaking local guides, be provided round trip airport transfers, and sightseeing in a private limousine.
Baggage:
Baggage allowance differs for the trans-Pacific flights and the domestic flights in China. For each passenger, the trans-Pacific flight allowance is 2 pieces of checked baggage weighing not more than 70 pounds each. Passengers are allowed 1 carry-on bag not to exceed 45 inches. Baggage allowance for domestic flights in China is 1 piece of baggage per person, not weighing over 44 pounds, plus 1 piece of carry-on baggage. Baggage in excess of 1 piece per person will result in excess baggage fees to be paid immediately upon demand.
Travelers Requiring Special Services:
PacGate Tours will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the special needs of trip participants. However, it is strongly recommended that persons requiring assistance be accompanied by a companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the assistance. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance to a tour member for walking, dining, getting on/off motor coaches and other transportation vehicles, or other personal needs. Travelers needing special assistance for other than personal needs must notify PacGate Tours at the time of booking to determine what assistance may reasonably be made available by PacGate Tours.

Insurance Offers:
Trip Cancellation Protection:
PacGate Tours offers a trip cancellation protection plan at an additional $150.00 per passenger per tour. This will protect you against charges if you have to cancel your tour. The trip cancellation protection plan is due within 7 days after the reservation is made. Purchasing the trip cancellation protection plan assures that if you must cancel your tour up to 24 hours prior to departure, you are assured a full refund of any money paid for the land tour only, and the unused ticket fare after the penalty. It does not cover any used service fees such as visa processing charges, or any additional personal travel services fees. This protection only applies to cancellation before your trip commences. The fee for trip cancellation protection must be paid by separate check.
Travel Insurance:
Based on the length and cost of your tour, PacGate Tours has travel insurance plans available. If both your international air tickets and tours are purchased from PacGate Tours, travel accident and international flight insurance are available. If you only purchase the land tour from PacGate Tours (including the China domestic air portion), travel accident insurance is available. Please check details on the insurance brochure. Any insurance fee is to be paid directly to the insurance company. You will receive a brochure of the insurance plan and application form in the mail when paying your initial deposit to sign up with PacGate Tours.

Terms and Conditions:
Any person reserving or purchasing any PacGate Travel & Tours, Inc. ("PacGate Tours") trip accepts and agrees to the Tour Guidelines above. They also accept and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
PacGate Tours reserves to itself the exclusive right to change or cancel itineraries, hotels, and other tour components whenever it is deemed necessary. PacGate Tours reserves the right to substitute hotels, and alter the itinerary, withdraw any tour and make any desirable alteration for the convenience of the operation of our tours. If this occurs, every effort will be made to offer alternate dates and/or programs. Departure/arrival dates as listed in the itineraries are as accurate as possible but are subject to change due to traffic, weather, mechanical and any other conditions beyond PacGate Tours’ control that may prevent PacGate Tours from operating as scheduled. PacGate Tours expressly disclaims any liability for any damages that may be incurred for any changes, cancellations or delays on any itinerary on any PacGate Tours trip.
PacGate Tours reserves the right to cancel the tour prior to departure for any reason. Liability for such cancellation is limited to full refund of money received by PacGate Tours, and this will constitute full settlement with the passenger.
In China, flights may be delayed occasionally and some scheduled sightseeing tours may not be possible. Cultural and acrobatic shows may not be available during holidays and seasonal recesses. If, during any part of the tour, it becomes necessary to change the means of transportation or any other service, or for the tour to be prolonged through circumstances beyond the control of the land operator, any additional tour cost must be borne by the passenger and is payable upon demand.
All rates on foreign trips are subject to fluctuations of currency and may be changed when necessary without advance notice prior to deposit. All rates published are per person as indicated and are based on double occupancy when only one rate is shown. Reservations will be accepted subject to availability at the time of a request and will be considered confirmed only upon receipt of a minimum deposit. Children’s rates are available. Please call for details. Children’s rates apply to children 5 to 11 years old sharing a room with 2 full paying adults. PacGate Tours does not accept liability in the case of any passenger being denied boarding by any airline carrier due to the carrier’s over-booking of a flight.
Shopping Disclaimer:
All tour directors, managers and/or guides provided by PacGate Tours will be happy to assist you with any shopping requirements. However, PacGate Tours does not take any responsibility whatsoever for any items purchased at shops, hotels and/or cruises on the tour. Any and all disputes concerning after sales services must be dealt with directly by the passenger and the appropriate private companies and/or governmental agencies.
Baggage Disclaimer:
Although every effort is made to handle passengers’ luggage as carefully as possible, PacGate Tours is not responsible for and does not assume liability or accept claims for loss of or damage to luggage due to breakage, theft or wear and tear through hotel and group carrier handling. It is recommended for your own self-interest and protection that you have adequate insurance to cover these eventualities. Check with PacGate Tours or your travel agent for low cost insurance to cover these risks.
General Disclaimer:
In all matters relating to the making of arrangements for hotel and other accommodations, sightseeing tours and services provided incidental thereto, entertainment, and transportation by air, railroad, motor coach, automobile, or ship, PacGate Tours and its subsidiaries act only in the capacity of an agent for the airlines, hotels, and other suppliers stated in the tour itineraries describing the services purchased.
PacGate Tours and/or its subsidiaries are not responsible for any losses or expenses due to delay or changes of schedule, overbooking of accommodations, default of any third parties, sickness, weather, strike, acts of God, acts of terrorism, force majeure, acts of any government, civil disturbances, war, quarantine, customs regulations, epidemics, criminal activity or for any causes beyond its control. All such losses or expenses must be borne and paid for by the passenger upon demand.
PacGate Tours accepts no responsibility for value, reliability, quality or authenticity of any gods purchased while on tour or for any mailing, freight or shipping arrangements. PacGate Tours also reserves the right to decline to accept, or retain any passenger as a tour participant, should such passenger’s health, mental condition, physical infirmity or general deportment impede the operation of the tour or the rights, welfare or enjoyment of other passengers.
Because of its status as an agent, and because it maintains no control over the personnel, equipment, or operations of these travel service suppliers, PacGate Tours and its subsidiaries/suppliers assume no responsibility for and cannot be held liable for any personal injury, property damage or other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of (1) any wrongful, negligent, or unauthorized acts or omissions on the part of any of the suppliers, (2) any wrongful, negligent, or unauthorized acts or omissions on the part of any employee of any of these suppliers, (3) any defect in or failure of any vehicle, equipment, or instrument owned, operated or otherwise used by any of these suppliers, or (4) any wrongful or negligent acts or omissions on the part of any other party not under supervision and control, direct or otherwise, of PacGate Tours. Any and all disputes concerning services will have to go directly to the appropriate private companies or government agencies.
